A Model Sustainable City, 2004

A team lead by Robert Edson Swain was selected from 487 firms in an international competition for a new city master plan near Qingdao, China, site of the 2008 Olympic aquatic events. The team was short-listed to three finalists and won for best master plan of this 100 square km coastal area. This sustainability model is a new city planning direction for China.
